The Hoard of Trade estimates of the balance of national payments in 1933 are as follow: — £ Excess of imports 264,(XX),000 Shipping income 60,000,000 Net income from overseas investments 155,000,000 Receipts from commissions 30,000,000 Other sources 10,000,000 This leaves a final debit of £4,000,000, compared with a debit of £104,000,000 in 1931 and £56,000,000 in 1932.
