School Children’s Picnic

ENJOYABLE OUTING

The Havelock North Public School children held their annual picnic at Beatson’s Park yesterday. The weather was ideal for the occasion, and a very enjoyable day was spent. The sports programme kept the children well occupied. Tho catering arrangements were in the hands of Mrs J, D. Heenan and a strong ladies’ committee, and everybody present was well supplied throughout the day. The local tradesmen and carriers, together with Nimon and Sons, supplied the conveyances. Mr N. F. Rigby (headmaster) and his staff, also Mr J. D. Heenan and his committee, had charge of the sports programme, which resulted as follows:—
