CHURCH SERVICES

At St. Matthew’s Church to-morrow there will be celebrations of the Holy Communion at 7 a.m. and 8 a.m., also at 12 noon. A children’s service will be held at 10 a.m. Mattins and sermon at 11 a.m. The Bible classes and Sunday schools at the usual hours. At Mahora School Holy Communion will bo at 7.30 a.m. An afternoon service will be held at Raukawa School at 2.30 p.m. An evening service at St. Barnabas’, Parkvale, at 7 p.m. Evensong at St. Matthew’s will be said in chapel at 6 p.m. The 7 p.m. service will be a special evening Lent service with metrical Litany and congregational singing of hymns. The choir will sing “O Saviour of the World” (Somervell). The vicar will continue liis address on “The Parable of the Two Sons”; (2) the Elder Brother.

The services at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church will be conducted in the morning at 11 o’clock. Mr R. I). Sutherland will play the anthem, “He Watereth the Hills.” At the evening service at 7 o’clock Mr T. M. Crawford will render the anthem “The Day Thou Gavest.” The evening service will be relayed to St. John's Hall, Mahora.

The subject of the address in the United Hall on Sunday night will be

"The Millenium, or Sabbath of Rest provided for the people of God.” All interested are invited and opportunity for questions afforded.

Tiie speaker at the Stortford Lodge Interdenominational Mission Hal] on Sunday evening will be Mr Stewart Wyness, who will shortly be leaving for the Baptist Training College. As this is probably hi s last address in the hall a hearty invitation is extended to all to attend There will also be a due*, rendered. The Rev. E. T. Olds will be the preacher in the Hastings Methodist Church on Sunday morning. The Rev. R. B. Gosnell will take the evening service and his subject will be “The Hot Springs in the Desert.” Anthems will be rendered as follows: Morning, “I am Alpha and Omega” ; evening, “Sun of My Soul.” “What will happen to the unbeliever when Christ comes” will be the subject of an address to be given by Mr. Geo. Menzies at the Nelson street Hall, tomorrow evening at 7 o’clock. The services in the Havelock North Presbyterian Church will be conducted by the Rev. R. B. Waugh, morning and evening at Havelock and afternoon at Clive. -Major and Mrs Hildreth will conduct their farewell services at the Salvation Army Hall to-morrow at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m., and on Monday night the Major will conduct a public wedding at 7 o'clock to be followed at 8 o’clock by a farewell gathering, presided over by Adjutant H. Goffin, of Napier, at which representat’ve speakers will address the meeting. The Rev. E. Nicholls will deliver farewell messages in the Hastings Baptist Church to-morrow. The subject in the morning will be “The Farewell Address of the Greatest Minister the Glorified Christ ever gave to His Church.” The service at Pukahu will be conducted by the Rev. E. Nicholls commencing at 2.30 p.m. The evening address is entitled “The Final Fundamental Question Everyone Must Face.” There will be anthems by the choir and the well known solo, “What Will You Do with Jesus?” will be sung by Mrs Nicholls.
