LEVEL CROSSING FATALITY

Hamilton Man’s Death (By Telegraph—Press Association.) HAMILTON, Feb. 24. The death occurred at the Waikato Hospital last evening of a plasterer, James Joll, aged 65. When walking home he was struck by the engine of a goods train at the Seddon road crossing; he appeared to walk into the front of the engine as it drew abreast and was struck a glancing blow which hurled him on to the side of the line. His injuries at the time appeared of a minor nature but his condition steadily grew worse and he died last night. An inquest was opened this morning and adjourned after identification.
