NAPIER BODY MEETS Tho Napier Horticultural Society held its annual meeting last night at Napier, Mr T. Howe occupying the chair. The following officers were elected! —Patron, Mr C. O. Morse; vice-patron, Mr W. Harvey; president, Dr. Btuart Scoular; vice-presidents, Mesdames K. Holt. H. R. Clark, P. Pattullo, W. Harvey, Messrs A. E. Bedford, F. Dailey, A. J. Anderson, E. Northcroft, IL Guthrie Smith, L. T. Bisson, F. N. Fussell, G. Husheer, Dr. Barnett; committee, Messrs T. Rowe, J. Bickerstaff, C. Corner, A. J. Kilpatrick, J. W. Olphert, Dr. Sutton, A. Bain, Savory, James Thorp, Mesdames E. Cornford, A. B. Hurst, M. W. Henley, Carlile Macfarlane, C. Corner, F. N. Fussell, Miss Herrick; honorary treasurer, Mr A. J. Kilpatrick; honorary auditor, Mr C. D. Wilson; honorary secretary, Mr K. R. Merritt; assistant honorary aecretary, Mrs E. Cornford. A vote of thanks wus passed to tho gardening circle of the Townswomen s Guild for their splendid assistance at the last rose show. Several matters were discussed, and left to the incoming committee to put into action. It was decided not to stage an aster, zinnia and dahlia show this year owing to the unfavourable weather conditions that have ruled during the last two months. _________
