The committee of the Pakowhai School is grateful to the Napier Frivolity Minstrels for giving a performance at Pakowhai in aid of the school funds. The secretary of the committee has written the following letter to the troupe:—“On behalf of the school committee may I tender our thanks for the excellent entertainment you gave in aid of the school funds. The opinion widely expressed is that your troupe gave the finest show seen in Pakowhai for years, and I may say that the result financially was really surprisingly good. The funds, which like most school funds are not so healthy as they might be, have benefitted considerably—a real windfall to the school.” The writer concludes his letter bv saying: "Long live the Frivs.”
