Replying to a. deputation representing the A.S.R.S., R. 0.1., E.F.C.A and the Railway Tradesmen’s Association, the Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes stated that the position of the country’s finances did not warrant restoration of the cuts at present. The deputation, which was private, was led by ' the president of the A.S.R.S., Mr. E. J. Dash, the only speaker.
