Parsnip Park
(To tile Editor.) Sir,—There are many lung spaces i® and around our embryo city which more or less redound to the enterprise of our City Fathers, and to those whose constant and wholehearted attentions have made the centre of our town a beauty spot and the admiration of visitors from all parts. As a set-off against the Russell street attractions, a lew blocks distant, 111 the vicinity of the Nelson street intersection, is a gem in a beautiful setting, locally known as •'Parsnip Park.’’ With the addition of some garden seats (which the borough inspector is sure to recoin mend) the tired and weary can rest in charming surroundings Even the noise of tho furious motorists is forgotten tn this peaceful glade Rustic bowers could be erected lor tired politicians to work out the unemployed problem tn this haven of rest. To ■ the weary mothers who enpoy a friendly gossip “Parsnip Park'' will strongly appeal, because it is a safety zone i*or children, who may have a weakness lor blackberries. And it faces the main thoroughfare. —I uni, etc., * ARCADIA. Hastings, 13/2/31.
