KITCHEN GIFT AFTERNOON

FUNCTION AT WAIPUKURAU Wearing a dainty blue floral gown, Mi's Jack Cook, of Waipukurau, was hostess at a most delightful kitchen tea on Saturday afternoon given in honour of Miss Madge Cook, whose marriage takes place at an early date. The function was held at the residence of Mr and Mrs A. F. Cook, Farm road, where m the pretty garden many novel competitions had been arranged for the amusement of the guests. The delicious afternoon lea was served in the drawing-room and sun porch, after which the guest of honour opened the parcels, whieh displayed many handsome and useful gifts.

Mr Jensen replied on behalf of Miss Cook, thanking all present for their beautiful gifts. Those present included Miss Madge Cook, who was wearing a pretty frock of pink floral ninon; Airs A. F.
