Lassen, C. C. Smith, It. Hardiiig, T. J. Dooney, W. Turner, and S. Palmer. Leave of absence was granted to Sir Andrew Ruesell and Mr S. Bennett. In connection with the construction of the Waitangi Washout bridge, the Main Highways Board wrote asking if the council wished the board to undertake the preparation of plans. The chairman considered that it was really a matter for the Rivers Board, but as far as the council was concerned he would welcome the board preparing the plans. On the motion of the chairman, it was decided to forward the matter to the Rivers Board, with a recommendation that the Main Highways Board be asked to prepare the plans for the new bridge.
