TRIBUTES TO MR G. HUSHEER NAPIER MAYOR’S PRESENTATION On behalf of the Napier Borough Council and citizens of Napier, and as an earnest of their appreciation of Mr Gerhard Husheer’s widespread generosity, the Mayor of Napier (Mr C. 0. Morse) has presented Mr Husheer with a palm and a beautiful collection of cut flowers. Mr Morse said he could scarcely describe the fullness of Napier's gratitude for Mr Husheer’s benefactions during the year, or its appreciation of the generous spirit which had prompted him to assist the needy. The money distributed by him through a variety of sources and for various purposes - ould mean the enjoyment of the Christmas period for many people who otherwise might suffer the effects of unemployment. It was the hope of everyone in Napier, continued the Mayor, that Mr and Mrs Husheer should enjoy their holiday and that in the coming year good health and happiness would be theirs.
