The Life-Saving Club will give a demonstration with the reel and. in connection with this, a Maori weighing 18st, has kindly offered to act as a drowning subject; as “Ike” will be required for the wrestling next season, every effort will bo made to get him ashore. The Haumoana Women’s Institute will take charge of the produce stall and some choice lines will ho offered to thrifty housewives. The Tennis Clnb is making itself responsible for the dispensing of afternoon tea. It has been putting in a lot of practice at carrying cups of tea, so should be in rare form on the day. A guide will be available for visitors and h« will conduct parties to a spot where they can see the sea plainly: there will be no charge for a look at the sea. but everything else will be charged for. Remember that two ’buses will b e running at frequent Intervals from 9.3 fl a.tn M so get mum and dad up early and don’t miss the ’bus.
