MANY BILLS PASSED
Parliamentary Sitting THIS MORNING’S ACTIVITIES (By Telegraph—Press Association.! WELLINGTON, Dec. 21. In the House of Representatives this morning the Sales Tax Amendment Bill, Land and Income Tax Amendment Bill, and the Small Farms (Relief of Unemployment) Amendment Bill were read the second time. These three bills, the Reserves and Other Lands Disposal Bill and the Local Legislation Bill were put through the remaining stages and passed. The following were also passed: Tho Native Purposes Bill, the Mortgagors and Tenants Relief Bill, the Law of Libel Amendment Bill, the Coal Mines Amendment Bill, the Dairy Industry Amendment Bill, the New Zealand Branch of the British Red Cross Society and Order oi St. John Empowering Bill, and the Co-operative Pig Marketing Companies Bill.
