The Railway Department advertise in to-day’s issue particulars of cheap fares and train arrangements for the races at Waipukurau on Boxing Day.
The H.B. Education Board invites alternative tenders, closing on January 10, 1934, for the conveyance of school children to Paki Paki and to Mangateretere schools. Details may be obtained from the secretary.
The Matron, Napier Hospital, solicit* donations of flowers for Christmas decorations at the hospital. Gifts may be left at the hospital or care of Messrs Simmonds Ltd., Emerson street, Napier.
In connection with the annual gathering of the Ongaonga Sports Club, which is to be held on January 1, a reminder is given that Napier and Hastings competitors may post their entries to Mr F. W. Whitley, No. 272 A Hastings street, Napier. The date on which entries close with Mr Whitley will be December 22. Programme and entry forms may be obtained from the same address, and fees must accompany entries. Entries close with the honorary secretary, Mr B. Dassler, Ongaonga, on Saturday, December 23, at 7 p.m.
