LAWN TENNIS
NAPIER PRIMARY SCHOOLS. TOURNAMENT CONCLUDED. The Napier and District Primary Schools’ Association has now completed the tennis tournament comijienced some weeks ago. The winners of the finals in the various sections were as follow:—' Girls’ singles.— G. Whiti Whiti (Taradale) defeated L. Ferguson (Intermediate), 7—4. Girls’ doubles.— L. Ferguson and J. Kronk and B. Bayford (Intermediate), 7—6. Boys’ singles.— Tooman (Taradale) defeated Longney (Intermediate), 7—4. Boys’ doubles. —Monrad and Cray (Intermediate) defeated Ashworth and Andrews (Te Awa), 10—9. Mixed doubles.— Line and G. Tareha (Taradale) defeated Monrad and L. Ferguson (Intermediate), 30 22. This is the first year that the association has conducted these competitions and their popularity has more than proved their success.
