N.R.A. DISPUTES
Recalcitrant Employers MORE EFFECTIVE CONTROL (Received 20, 12.45 p.m.) WASHINGTON. Dec. 19. President Roosevelt to-day broadened the power of the National Labour Board to ensure effective control over recalcitrant employers in N.R.A. disputes. Tho President, by executive order, conferred upon the board authority to create regional boards and delegate thereto its own powers. The step is seen to grow from a dispute between the Labour Board and the Weirton Steel Company, West Virginia, which, despite a warning thjt it Was violating tho labour provisions of the N.R.A., conducted company union elections.
