WEDDINGS

McKinnon—bain. A very quiet wedding took place in Napier on Wednesday afternoon, November 29, when the Rev. J. A. Asher united in holy matrimony Isabella, youngest daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Peter Bain, of Temuka, South Canterbury, and Hector Norman, second son of Mr Norman McKinnon and the late Mrs McKinnon, of Wairoa. The bride was given away by her brother, Mr David Bain (Tangoio). She wore a modish ensemble in cream and almond green elephant crepe. Her hat was of natural Ballibuntal straw, and she carried a bouquet of carnations.

At the reception and wedding tea, held at the Masonic: Hotel, only immediate relatives wore present. Mr and Mis later left for Waikarenwana.
