For the C.J.C. races at Biccarton there is a large attendance. The track is in good order. Results:— Spring Hurdles — 1-2 Henry of Navarre 1, 8-7 Revision 2, 10-9 Gallivanter 3. Scr.: Don Jose. Won by three lengths. Time, 3.11 2-5. Spring Plate—2-2 Sweet Agnes 1, 6-7 Gipsy Love 2, 1-1 Manetho 3. All started. Won by half a length, a length between second and third. Time, 1.39 1-5. Linwood Handicap—l 3 9 Copyisf 1, IH-21 Dollar Prince 2, 2-2 Prostration 3. Scr.: Niggerhead, Last Link, Eupator, Lady Zephyr. NEW ZEALAND CUP, Of 1000 aovs; 2 miles. PALANTUA (Jones), 7.2 1 ROCKET (Eastwood), 7.2 t THE SMUGGLER (Barclay), 7.8 .. 8 The winner ran last for over the first, mile and a half, and then came up fart on the outside, and won nicely under the whip by a length. Kamo wao fourth. Chrysology made the running over the first mile and a half. The Governor-General presented th* cup and heartilv congratulated the owner, trainer and rider of the winning horse amid loud cheers.
