TRANS-ATLANTIC AIR SERVICE

AN AGREEMENT BEACHED TERMS NOT YET DISCLOSED ST. JOHNS (Newfoundland), Nov. 2. The Prime Minister, Mr Alderdice, to-night intimated that the Governments of Britain, Canada and Newfoundland had reached an agreement in regard to the proposed trans-Atlantic air service. The terms could not be disclosed at present, but they are satisfactory to all who had participated in the conference here last summer. He offered no prediction when the service would be established, but felt certain that a trans-Atlantic, air base would be developed eventually in Newfoundland. The proposed route is said to be from Liverpool by way of Northern Scotland, Iceland. Greenland, Labrador and Montreal, there linking up with tho American and Canadian cities to tho Pacific Coast.
