FATAL CRASH AT AN ENGLISH MOTOR - RACING MEETING Fire extinguishers being played on the burning wreckage of Mr. M. B. Watsons car which crashed and overturned while taking part in a recent race at the Brooklands track. Mr. Watson, who was driving when the crash occurred, war fatally injured.
NEW ZEALAND HORSES DEFEATED IN VALUABLE AUSTRALIAN CLASSIC RACE. Palphar defeating Hall Mark in the the Caulfield Guineas at Caulfield, Melbourne. The time, 1m. 38s., was a course record for the mile. Limarch (New Zealand) was third, while Blixton and Wheriko, two other Dominion horses, were unplaced.
