SUCCESSFUL GOLF DANCE. The Wairnarama golf dance was held on Saturday night, and proved a very successful and enjoyable evening. Les Henry’s orchestra, from Hastings, gave every satisfaction and was continually asked to repeat many dance Items. During the evening the president of the Golf Club (Mr M. Thomas) presented the prizes as follows: — Ladies championship: Miss R. Scott; runner-up, Mrs B. Gillies. Junior championship: Mrs P. Edgecombe; ruuuer-up, Miss G. Tenncnt. Medal competition: Mrs J. Steenson. Men’s championship: W. Edwards; r.unner-up, A. Gillies. Intermediate: S. Karetu; runner-up, J. Mackintosh. Junior championship: —. Graham; ruunner-up, I. Hammond.
