WELLINGTON SURGEON
FELLOWSHIP CONFERRED. (Received 16, 10.10 a.m.) CHICAGO, Oct. 13. At the annual convocation ceremonies of the American College of Surgeons to-night, Professor Allan was among four who received honorary fellowships. A total of 622 ordinary fellowships were conferred, including one upou Dr. Thomas D. Stout, of Wellington. Other honorary fellowships were conferred upon surgeongenerals of the American Army and Navy. Dr. T. Duncan M. Stout, who is a son of the late Sir Robert Stout, is an honorary surgeon of the Wellington Hospital. He completed his medical studies in London, and has practised in Wellington for many years. He served with the Medical Corps during the Great War. Sir Donald McGavin and Dr. J. S. Elliott, of Wellington, are Fellows of the American College of Surgeons, ns well as other New Zealand members of the profession.
