Hurlingham and Mobile were soon headed by Royal Sceptre, who led to the straight. Kerbside, who was last away, ran into second place at the top of the straight and won by a length and a-half from Silver Streak, who got up to beat Spoon by a head, with Koval Sceptre a head away.
