FARMER AND URBAN WORKER

RECONCILIATION OF VIEWS. AIMS OF N.Z. LABOUR PARTY. (Received 19, 10.40 a.m.) BANFF (Alberta). Aug. 18. Before the Institute of Pacific Relations, Mr Walter Nash said that New Zealand Socialists found the same difficulty as in Canada in reconciling the views of the farmer and the urban worker. He believed that while reconciliation was difficult it was by no means impossible. He described the Socialist platform and the aims of the New Zealand Labour Party as somewhat similar to the co-operative Commonwealth Federation’s programme in Canada.
