PLAN THAT MISCARRIED

ATTEMPT TO MUBDEtR VICEROY. REVELATIONS IN CONSPIRACY CASE. CALCUTTA, May 23. During the Indore conspiracy case, in which 27 were tried on charges of conspiracy, armed robbery was revealed by a medical student who turned King’s evidence. He was a member of a revolutionary party whose object was the violent overthrow of the Government last December. He had also been selected to murder the Viceroy during Lord Willingdon’s visit to the Indore Medical School, where he was a student. However, the plan miscarried owing to the lastminute cancellation of the Viceroy’s visit due to indisposition.
