OBITUARY

MR ARTHUR HEATHER. AUCKLAND, May 23. The death of Mr Arthur Heather, a former president of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce and a prominent figure in the commercial life of the city until his departure for England 23 years ago, has occurred at Worthing, near London, according to a private cable.

The death occurred in the Napier Hospital on Monday of Mr Edward O’Sullivan, aged 70 years, for the past seven years licensee of tho Westshore Hotel. A native of Loudon, the late Mr O’Sullivan came to New Zealand with his parents and settled in tho Otago district, moving during the Great War to Pahiatua, where he took over tho 'Post Office Hotel. Ho later returned south to Christchurch, only to come finally to Hawke’s Bay to take charge of tho Wostshoro Hotel. He is survived by his wife, one son (Mr J. O ’Sullivan, of the Commercial Hotel, Waipawa), and one daughter (Mrs H. Wess, of Featherston); also a number of grand-children. The sympathy of a large circle of friends is extended to the relatives in their bereaurment.
