Riddell, telephone No, 155 At last night’s meeting of the Waipukurau Borough Council permission was granted to basketball players to use two playing areas on Russel Park during the present season. Three ratepayers were granted a rebate of the penalty on overdue rates at the monthly meeting of the borough council last evening, the amount rabated totalling £ll 4/9. A vote of sympathy to the wife and relatives of the late Mr Robert Buist W-. ; at last night’s meeting of the bc.ic.rgh council, the late Mr Buist having been a borough employee fc several years.
