CROQUET
HAWKE’S BAY ASSOCIATION. INTER-CLUB GAMES RESUMED. After being interrupted by the annual tournament of the association in March the monthly inter-club matches of the H.B. Croquet Association were concluded this mouth and results aro as follows:— A grade: Port 165 v. Napier 185; United l>j v. Hastings 130; Waireru 160 v. Kia Toa 197. B grade: Omaranui 93 v. Kia Toa 208; Hastings 150 v. Havelock 161. In addition to winning outright a miniature pennant the club with the season s highest score holds the association pennant for the following year. This season the successful club in the A grade is United, with a total of 959 points. Other clubs’ scores are: Hastings 945. Port 808, Napier 772, Kia Toa 719, Wairore 692. In the B grade AVairere club secured first place with a total of 699 points. Kia Toa follows with 678. Havelock 661. Hastings 642, Omaranui 424.
