EAST COAST CENTRE EASTER TOURNAMENT. EVANS AND PARKINSON IN FINAL. The East Coast Centre tournament was continued yesterday in ideal weather on the Havelock North green, the eliminating rounds being played. There now remain two teams who will play the final game on the Havelock North green next Saturday afternoon, play to commence at 2 o'clock sharp. Following are the results of yesterday’s post-section play:— SEMI-FINALS Parkinson (Hastings) 24 v Hall (Havelock North) 9. Evans (Kia Toa) 26 v Critchley (Waipawa) 13. THE NAPIER CLUB RESULT OF TOURNEYS In the final game of the handicap pairs tournament at the Napier Club, Cooke and Belcher (6 on) beat Hewson and Bendall (ser) by 25 points to 21. It was a good game throughout, but tho winners maintained a lead from the start. On Easter Monday a progressive pairs tournament attracted a 'full green of bowlers. Play was close and interesting throughout, and the winners were Wakefield (skip) and L. G. Pirie (lead) with six wins each. To-morrow will see the final meeting of the combined mid-week bowlers, which has proved such a popular fixture this year.
