AN UNFOUNDED RUMOUR.

(To tho Editor.) Sir, —It has come to our knowledge that some person or persons have been circulating a false rumour to the effect that Messrs H. Largo and F. Ellis are charging tho Unemployed Association for the assistance they render at tho unemployed concerts. Wo wish to state that all last winter these two gentlemen arranged and dismantled the stage scenery required for these functions without mention or expectation of remuneration or fee. and have generously offered to assist Mr Adams with any of his concerts this season. To use their own words: “We are only too pleased to assist the unemployed.” —I am, etc., F. J. SPEAR. Secretary Hastings Regtd. Unemployed Workers’ Assn. Hastings, 18/4/33.
