ROGILLA’S WIN. GREAT SPEED AND STAMINA. (Received 18, 10.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, April 18. The Sydney “Herald,” commenting on the Sydney Cup, says: “Rogilla won by means of an amazingly fast and long run. His speed carried him from a rear position at the mile to the lead at the half-mile and his stamina enabled him to continue the run for the last half-mile and beat off a strong challenge by two lightly weighted runners. ’ ’ The “Telegraph” says: “ Rogilla’s burst of speed was breath-taking and amazed the thousands who saw the race. Rogilla’s rider can hardly be complimented on the manner in which he rode the chestnut and, in winning under such circumstances, Rogilla proved himself a first class horse.
