WEDDING

HICKEY—CLEARY. A very pretty wedding took place at the Sacred Heart Church at 9.30 a.m. on Easter Alonday, the Rev. Father Stewart officiating, when Molly Cleary, daughter of Mr and Airs. C. Cleary, of Hastings, was married to David Hickey, son of Air. and Airs. D. Hickey, of Havelock North. The bride, who was escorted by her father, looked very charming in an ankle-length frock of ivory georgette, the flared skirt inset with godets of ivory silk lace, and the bodice finished with a deep yoke of lace forming a point at the back and front. The georgette sleeves were puffed at the elbows and finished with lace, tightly fitting to the wrist. A lovely veil was caught with a coronet of orange blossoms and the bridal bouquet was of white carnations, roses, and orange blossom, with touches of blue. Aliss E. Cleary, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid, wearing a very pretty frock of delphinium-blue georgette with panels of tiny frills and gaging inset, also a little blue velvet cape, toque, and lace mittens, and the charming toilette was finished by her bouquet of pink roses and earnations, with touches of blue. Air. H. Horton was best man. About 40 guests were entertained by Mr. and Airs. Cleary at the Rialto, where the usual toasts were honoured. Airs. Cleary was attired in navy blue with sable fur as trimming, and a hat to match and she carried a pretty posy. Mrs. Hickey, mother of the bridegroom, wore a smart black ensemble relieved with white and a black hat, and autumn tinted posy. The Rialto was decorated with autumn flowers in pink and blue shades, and a wedding bell hung over the table at which the bridal party sat. When the bride and bridegroom left by car the bride wore a very smart frock of Persian blue afgalaine with a little hat and coat to match. Guests included Aliss Cleary, Miss W. Cleary.
