NAPIER MOTOR SPORTS

RACES ON MONDAY MANY VISITING RIDERS Intensive interest in one’s own town is a good thing, but one must not be blind as to what may be learnt irom visitors Irom other parts of the country. On Easter Monday speed specialists from Auckland and as far south as Christchurch, with all the latest equipment in high speed transport, will endeavour to see who is going to share the liberal prize money provided by the Napier Motor Racing Club. Old hands at the game, such as Percy Coleman, Tui Morgan, Harry Mangham, Reg Ranby, Tim Wilkinson, Slim Pink, Doug Collison and many other names well known to the public will have their work cut out to get into places, as the handicappers, Messrs. Palmer and I Page have a happy knack of judging performances to a nicety, resulting in very close finishes All that is needed now is a fine day, as the lawn mowers have done the t work well and truly and it is safe to say that the course is in a better condition than it has been in for years.
