EASTER MONDAY SPORTS

THE HAVELOCK NORTH GATHERING. All roads will lead to the Havelock North sports on Easter Monday. The committee has all arrangements well in hand and the grounds are in good order. Picnic parties will be well catered for, and hot water will be provided free. A refreshment booth will be erected on the ground where light refreshment, pies and sandwiches may be obtained, besides a fruit, sweet, icecream and soft drink stall. There will be numerous competitions all day for both ladies and men, for which some very fine trophies are offered. The dog trials will commence at 7 a.m and will continue for the major part of the day; horse events start at 11 a.m sharp and athletic events at 1 p.m. Children’s events will be held in the morning and will start at 10 o’clock. Nimon’s buses will run from Hastings •very half hour throughout the day. A grand sports club dance will be held in the Village Hall in the evening.
