ELLERSLIE TRACK NOTES. By Telegraph—Press Association AUCKLAND, April 12. It was an off morning at Ellerslie. Visiting horses were allotted useful pace work. Silver Scorn did strong work on the sand. Lordly Knight, on No. 3 grass, ran the last three furlongs in 40secs. E. Keesing will ride him in the Easter Handicap. Aiguille’s trainer is hopeful of starting Aiguille in the Easter Handicap. Aga Khan was scratched for the Easter Handicap at 9.45 to-day. The Auckland Racing Club has de cided to alter the running of the races and the Oaks will be the first race on the first day and St. Leger the first race on the second day. STRATFORD TROTS CANCELLED. By Telegraph—Press Association NEW PLYMOUTH, April 12. The Taranaki Trotting Club’s annual meeting on April 22 has been cancelled owing to lack of support due principally to tho temporary closing of the Stratford Main Trunk line.
