‘‘Our concern is roads and bridges only,” said the chairman (Mr. F. B. Logan) at the meeting of the Hawke’s Bay County Council yesterday morning when a request was made for a grant towards the Hastings Dental Clinic. ‘‘The health of the people is a matter entrusted to other local bodies, and if wo start to encroach on their duties we will not know where we stand,” he added. The council members agreed that the request was one that did not concern them, and no grant was made.
