THE AUTUMN MEETING. FIRBT-CLABS RACING ANTICIPATED. The Hawke’s Bay Jockey Clnb will for the first time commence its autumn meeting on Easter Saturday. The decision to race on that day is likely to bo a wise one for the day is a general holiday with a large number of people, and racing affords them an enjoyable relaxation. The entries for the meeting are decidedly good and there i* every reason to anticipate good field* and first class racing. The course is in very good order indeed, and reflects very great credit on the club’s caretaker, Mr A. Holmes. The prices of admission have been brought to the lowest possible scale, and should ensure a large attendance. The totalisators will be open for tea shillings investments on the win and place system.
