WAIPUKURAU STOCK SALE
LARGE YARDING FAT CATTLE. EASING IN PRICES. There was a large yarding of cattle, especially fats, and a fair sized yarding of sheep at Waipukurau to-day. The tone of the market was quiet and prices showed a slight easing. The sale of sheep had not been commenced at the time of going to press. Fat Cattle.—S well covered fat P.A. bullocks passed at £5 12/6; a slightly smaller lot of 8 met a similar fate at £5 2/6; 5 P.A. and Hereford cross steers passed at £5; 6 fat Hereford eows sold at £2 10/-; 7 conditioned P.A. heifers, £4 7/6; 4 P.A. and Hereford cross light bullocks passed at £4 10/-; 5 similarly conditioned Hereford bullocks passed at £3 7/6; 9 P.A. cross steers, in good order, made £5 5/-; 9 fat empty cows and heifers, mixed breeding, £3 7/6; 9 fat P.A. steers passed at £4 5/-; 4 fat empty Here fori cows sold at £3 7/6; 8 Holstein cross cows £2 14/-; 3 P.A. heifers, £3; another lot of 7 crossbred, £2 6/-; 2 fal Hereford cows, £2 10/-; 3 fat dairy cows, £2 15/6; 8 fat dairy cows and heifers, empty and in prime order, £3 8/-; 8 P.A. cows, slightly heavier, £.3 10/-; 8 P.A. cows, in fair order, £2 18/-; 2 fat Holstein bullocks, big framed, £4 5/-; 5 Shorthorn steers passed at £3 1/-; 4 well-lined Hereford bullocks, £4 2/6; 6 big framed P.A. and Hereford cross bullocks. £4 18/-; 6 P.A. cows, £2 15/-; 10 lightly finished P.A heifers, £2 8/6; 4 fat P.A. bullocks, similarly conditioned, £3 17/6; 5 do.. £3 15/-; 14 2J-yr. P.A. steers, a good line, £3 2/-. Store Cattle—29 empty P.A. cows, £1 17/-; 12 P.A. yearling steers, 31/-; a further lot of 10 rising IS month.-, well grown, £1 17/6; 15 yearling P.A. heifers, 26/-.
