Notice is given by the Treasury of a new issue of 2) per cent, conversion loan 1944-49 to be offered by tender or otherwise. Each tender must be for an amount not less than 1:1(1,000. The object of the issue is to clear up the volume of Treasury bills which, owing to the financing of 1:80,006,000 of foreign credits in the early part of the year exceeds the amount ordinarily outstanding.
