CHURCH SERVICES
At St. Matthew’s Church, Hastings, to-morrow, there will be celebrations of the Holy Communion at 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. Mattins will be at 11 a.m., when the vicar will give his third address on the Epistle to the Ephesians. Holy Baptism at 3 p.m. The evening service at 7 p.m. will be Evensong with metrical litany. The Rev. C. Tanner will preach. An evening service will be conducted by Mr. Arthur Stamp at St. Barnabas', Parkvale, at 7 p.m., and also at Mahora School by the vicar. A junior and senior boys’ Bible Class will be conducted at St. Matthew’s Hall at 2 p.m. by Mr. Tanner. Lent self denial offerings all day for mission* and parish funds.
The services in St. Andrew’* Church to-morrow will be conducted by Rev. D. J. A. Shaw. The subject of the evening address will be: “Marriage and Home—What should they mean To-dayf” This subject is of vital moment to young folk and they are cordially invited. The evening service will be relayed to St. John’s Hail as usual.
The thanksgiving services in the Havelock North Presbyterian Church will bo conducted by the Rev. R. Itjaugh. The Clive service in the morning will be conducted by Mr. Chu, and iu the evening by Mr. Thorp.
The Rev. E. T. Olds, of Napier, will conduct the 11 o’clock service to-mor-row, at the Hastings Methodist Church (corner Heretaunga and Hastings streets). The anthem will be “The Lord is My Light.” The evening service, at 7 o’clock, will be conducted by the Rev. A. H. Scrivin, whose sermon subject will be “Freedom.” The anthem will be “Open the Gates of the Temple.” The Bible Classes will meet at 9.45 a.m. and the Sunday School at 2.30 p.m.
