"TRIBUNE” FUND
for butterfly control further donations acknowledged. Now totalling £757/6, the “Tribune” fund for the control of the white butterflies continues to grow. The sum now required is £24 12/6, and we Lope that those interested in this valuable work will forward some contribution, however small, to the fund to enable further parasites to be purchased. The necessity for combatting the white butterfly is realised by all smallholders and farmers, but not all are prepared to give the much-needed financial assistance. , Definite results are being obtained, and according to the Government Entomologist, Mr J. H. Muggeridge, who is conducting the work of parasitic control, it should be possible to achieve success, provided more parasites can be obtained. Now is the time to give. Tho sooner tho white butterfly can be controlled, tho sooner can farmers and gardeners be fissured of successful growing of crucifer crops. We acknowledge with thanks the following donations, and hope that yet others will follow their example:— . £ s d Previously acknowledged ... 75 0 6 E O. J 2 6 G. R. 2 6 M. L.
