HAWKE’S BAY EXECUTIVE. BUSINESS OF THE MONTH. The monthly meeting of the executive of the Hawke’s Bay War Relief Association was held in Napier yesterday, Mr J. N. Barrie presiding over Messrs W. G. Frame, C. H. Critchley, L. J. Mackersey, T. H. Ringland, J. Elder and W. Cuthbertson. Branch returns were adopted as follow:—Dannevirke branch, payments £225 14/1, receipts £9B 17/1; Hastings, £176 14/8, £234 11/4; Takapau, £l5 18/-, £lO9 7/6; Waipawa, November £257 11/3, £3 3/-, December and January £l9 12/1, £3l 5/8; Waipukurau, £4 8/8, £1 10/; Wairoa, December, Januarv and February £l3, £35 5/8; Woodville, £5 13/-, £l9 15/7; Napier, £3OB 19/5, £lOB 14/5; totals, £1027 11/2. £642 10/3. Payments since last meeting were shown to be: Assistance granted, £905 5/- (grants to soldiers and dependents £237 6/4, loans to soldiers £597 1/-, payments on account of other societies £7O 17/8); payment on account of Flock House scheme, £32 12/-.
