THE H.B. CHILDREN’S HOME
ANNUAL APPEAL Every year the trustees of ths Hawke s Bay Children’s Home make an appeal to the residents of the Hawke’s Bay provincial district for financial assistance to maintain the homes, and as a result of the falling, off in all avenues of income the trustees this year are compelled to appeal for a larger sum than usual. A collection will be held in all towns of Hawke’s Bay on Saturday, March 18, and it is hoped that the effort will result in a sum of £l5OO being subscribed. The willingness of the people of thig district to assist this necessary social work has been exemplied during many years by the very satisfactory response which has been made, and, although it may seem that in seeking £l5OO this year a very large sum is asked for. it is ielt that the residents of Hawke's Bay will once again demonstrate thsir willingness to subscribe sufficient funds for the needs of the Children’s Home. Where it is not possible for collectors to call those wishing to subscribe are requested to forward their donations by post. Cheques should be made payable to the Hawke’s Bay Children’s Home, and sent to Mr H. E. Edgley, Church street (P.O. Bos 145), Napier.
