TRENTHAM TRACK WORK FAST TIMES RECORDED, .TRIAL GALLOPS FOR WELLING- ' TON MEETING. By Telegraph—Press Association Wellington, March 14. Fast times were the rule at Treutham this morning when candidate* tor the Wellington meeting were galloped The weather was ideal and without wind. The plough was almost exclusively used, only two trials being done on the grass. Excellent efforts were registered by Autopav, Norinandt Dole, Might, Princess Argosy end Lordly Knight. • • • Autopay, after doing the first three furlongs of a mile at half pace was picked up by Normandy near the five lurlongs post and lie reduced the latter’s early two lengths lead ho a head before reaching the post. Five furlongs were done in 1.2 3-5, and the last half in 48 l-ssecs. Normandy was doing it well at the finish. Dole waited with Pegged Exchange through most of their six furlongs’but drew away to a three lengths lead at the end aftei running the distance in 1.16 1-6, the last half taking olsecs. • • • Might finished too well for Ccttesmore at the end of six furlongs, beating him by nearly two lengths in El 7. the last half-mile taking filseos. Clangor did an easy mile in 1.54. • * « Eminent ran six furlqggs ably in 1.19 3-5. D'atdnvjus dijjan even five furlongs in 1.5 without being hurried. On the Crass. Princess Argosy beat Guarantee by a good length over five fufton’gs in 1.1 1-5, the last half-mile in 48 1-oseos. Lady Spy and Royal Dash, who arrived late last evening, did separate rounds at half pace work. Cardinal Moon finished half a length iu front of Misfire, at the endjof. five furlongs in 1.6, the last half-mile in •52secs. Lordly Kn’-ht fpund Good Hunting of little use ,o him oven.'fiive furlongs, always pulling.over bis, mate, whom he beat by four lengths in 1- 3-5, the last hajf-mile I 50secs. Late Jest, who has been sore lately, went half a mile in 51 sec*. | Epigram did his half-mfle in | 52secs. Ruling Light and sfiihmg Glold went seven furlongs alongside one another, the former on the grans and the latter, who has been troubled in the feet lately, on the plough. Ruling. , Light was a couple of lengths in front at the end, doing her poatfon in I'3l 2- while Shining Gold t00k'1.32 4-5 Lovecourt went five furlongs alone « 1.4 4-5. the last half-mile in Slsecs.
