Damage to a new wireless set and a number of recently made up stock sheets was caused when a fire broke out in a small storeroom adjacent to the office of the Hawke’s Bay Farmers’ garage in Napier at about 11 o’clock yesterday morning. There was no one in the room at the lime and tho fire was discovered only when smoko was seen issuing from the windows. The Napier Central Fire Brigade was promptly on the scene and soon put. the fire out. It is not known how th* outbreak originated.
