ANNUAL APPEAL. FUNDS URGENTLY REQUIRED Tho annual appeal for the Hawke’s Bay Children’s Home will bo held on Saturday, March 18, and residents of the Hawke’s Bay province are asked to respond to the appeal as generously as their circumstances permit. For 40 years the homes have been caring lor orphaned, neglected and destitute children of this province and tho trustees have been accorded the utmost financial and sympathetic support during the whole of that period. Just as the adverse economic conditions have affected the individual so have they affected the income of the Children’s Home. The position has now arisen that without substantial support there will be no funds with which to purchase the necessaries of life. This state of affairs the trustees are assured will not be allowed to continue, and the residents of Hawke’s Bay will see to it Unit funds are available therewith to piovide tin.- necessaries of Ide. Collections will be made in even town in Hawke’s Bay on Saturday. March 18, but the collectors will not bo able to rea«h all the residents of the province, and it is asked that those on whom collectors cannot call will forward their donation by post.
