TOURNAMENT CONTIINUED. RESULTS OF YESTERDAY’S PLAY. The Hawke's Bay Association’s croquet tournament, being held in Napier, was advanced a further stage yesterday. Following arc the results of the day’s play:— Open Doubles. — Semi-final: Mesdames Watkins and Tiffen beat Mesdames Wood and Limbrick, 26—24. Handicap Singles.—A grade: Mrs Esson (4) beat Mrs Langford (24), 26—22; Miss Lydford (4) beat Mrs Bendall (6), 26—21; Mrs Wood (3) beat Mrs Wacher (6), 26—19. Ladies’ Singles.—First Life: Mrs Evans beat Mrs Esson, 26 —20; Mrs Harvey beat Mrs Wood, 26 —11; Miss Lydford beat Mrs Daily,226; Mrs Langford beat Mrs Rust, 26—6; Mrs Pitcaithly beat Mrs Evans 26—6; Mrs Carrington beat Mrs Limbrick, 26—3. Second Life: Mrs Logan beat Mrs Walker, 26—19; Mrs Pitcaithly beat Mrs Harvey, 26—18; Mrs Freedman beat Mrs Daily, 26—12; Miss Carrington beat Mrs Rust, 26—10; Mrs Watkins won by default from Mrs Darvoli; Mrs Bayliffo beat Mrs Logan, 26—15; Mrs Limbrick beat Mrs Colbert, 26—12; Mrs Watkins beat Mrs Pearce. 26—18.
