DEVELOPMENT OF PALESTINE

THE HELP OF BRITAIN. British Official Wireless Service. Rugby, March 3. At a dinner by the British section of the Jewish Agency for Palestine, Mr A. M. Samuel expressed tho view that the cultural and spiritual development of Palestine had been made a possibility only by obtaining the help of Britain. Palestine to-day was one of the prosperous countries in the world. It had no unemployment and there was a surplus in the Budget. Into Palestine since Britain had intervened there had gone £30,009,000 of capital. Dr. Woizmann, leader of the Zionist organisation, presided. He expressed great sympathy with the Jews in Germany and counselled courage and endurance during their anxious time.
