TARIFF NEGOTIATIONS

BRITAIN APPROACHED MANY DELEGATIONS Rugby, Jan. 16. Tariff negotiations with representatives of Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Iceland have been in progress for some time, and at their conclusion similar negotiations will begin with the Baltic States and Poland. Representatives of the Latvian Government arrived at London to-day for preliminary discussions in advance of commercial negotiations, and a delegation from Finland is due to arrive before the end of the month. Other countries, which have expressed a desire to negotiate with the British Government include Argentina, whose delegation Is now on the way to England, Belgium, Columbia, Costa Rica, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Peru, Santo Domingo, Switzerland and Uruguay.
