The quota system has been working in a strange fashion during recent weeks. No British-made suits are now allowed to enter France, consequently well-to-do Parisians and Englishmen and Americans living in Paris who always buy their elothes from English tailors, are unable to replenish their wardrobes. Apparently the only method is to visit London and return wearing the suits. \ The French and British Chambers bf Commerce have taken up the matfer, but the French Customs authorities are obdurate.
